WE'RE HERE TO HELP
WE'RE HERE TO HELP
We specialize in stroke-related medical malpractice cases. We represent individuals and families who have suffered because of:
Doctors and emergency room staff must recognize stroke symptoms immediately. If your stroke was dismissed as something minor—or not diagnosed at all—you may have been denied life-saving treatment.
If your medical team failed to administer the proper medications (like tPA or dual anti-platelet therapy) or provide necessary mechanical/surgical intervention (like a thrombectomy) or did not follow proper stroke protocols, they may be liable for medical negligence. Additionally, the improper management of a stroke victims blood pressure can lead to devastating consequences.
Doctors and nurses must recognize stroke symptoms, even in younger patients or those without obvious risk factors. If a stroke should have been suspected but was ignored or mistaken for another condition, the consequences can be tragic.
Did Medical Malpractice Result in You or a Loved One Suffering a Devastating Injury as a Result of a Stroke?
A stroke occurs when blood flow to the brain is blocked or reduced, depriving brain tissue of oxygen. This can result in permanent brain damage, disability, or even death if not treated immediately. There are two primary types of stroke:
Symptoms of a stroke can include:
✅ Sudden numbness or weakness, especially on one side of the body
✅ Confusion or trouble speaking
✅ Vision problems in one or both eyes
✅ Dizziness or loss of coordination
✅ Severe headache with no known cause
When these warning signs appear, doctors must act fast. Failure to diagnose or properly treat a stroke can lead to irreversible harm—and that’s when we step in to hold negligent medical providers accountable.
You might be entitled to compensation.

Often times there are early warning signs, known as a transient ischemic attack or TIA, that present before a devastating stroke. These can include 1) numbness in the face, arm, or leg, usually on one side of the body; 2) Difficulty speaking or understanding speech; 3) vision problems; 4) dizziness or loss of balance; 5) confusion or difficulty thinking; among other things. These symptoms typically last for a few minutes to a few hours and then resolve on their own. If a TIA is properly diagnosed and treated, a larger and more devastating stroke, resulting in life long disability, can be prevented.
At Newsome Law, we don’t just try cases, we get answers. We know: all lawyers do that. But in fact, it’s not that simple. Most law firms are built around volume practices. That means they take many cases, hoping to settle each as quickly as possible. For a lot of clients, especially those with relatively minor injuries, that’s good enough. But for those who have suffered the most severe sort of harm, it’s not.
Their cases are complex, often pitting them against large companies that can hire top-flight legal talent to defend them. The cases are expensive to try, requiring expert testimony, detailed investigations, and enormous amounts of preparation, determination, and commitment. They demand resources most firms just can’t – and won’t – muster. The result: the most crucial issues and questions can go unanswered. Choose our personal injury lawyers today at Newsome Law.
